eBooks for Educators
Welcome Educators,
Before I became interested in eBooks and eventually turning this new-found interest and passion into an Internet business, I was an educator. After 32 years as an elementary school teacher and school administrator I had collected a great deal of material about teaching and learning. The eBooks for Educators found on this page is an attempt to share with you the wisdom I have gained through experience.
My interest in life-long learning, taking time to reflect on the teaching/learning process, presenting numerous workshops on a variety of topics, writing a workbook for school administrators on supervision and evaluation as well doing professional development presentations it occurred to me that I should be converting the material I had previously used into eBooks myself.
My very first eBook was called, Supervision and Evaluation of Classroom Teachers - Part 1 - An Overview of the Basic Process. At that time I was working with Glenn Dietzel with the TeachereBooks.com site. Glenn has since moved on to the business side of eBooks and I have focussed on helping authors write their eBooks. It was evident when giving this eBook away for free that there was a market for other eBooks on the topic. Literally thousands of educators downloaded this eBook. You can image how that made me feel. I was finally one of the 81% of Americans (actually I'm Canadian) surveyed who said one of their dreams was to write a book.
My teaching background impacts not only my writing style but my approach to helping others become eBook authors. My primary objective in working with eBook authors is "tohelp eBook authors help themselves".
My passion for teaching and learning combined with my new-found skills of eBook authoring allow me the opportunity to share with educators what I have learned over the past 32 years of teaching and 10 years of retirement working with eBooks.
Starting with workshops, presentations, lectures, reports, committee work, policy development, curriculum development, train-the-trainer sessions and creating units of study for use in the classroom, I have been able to "massage" the documents that went with these activities into some incredible content for educational eBooks.
If I may put in a plug right now for eBook authoring, I would challenge you as an educator to consider sharing your passion, expertise, and materials you have produced with your fellow teachers through eBooks. And even further I would challenge you to then offer the eBook authoring experience to your students.
I invite you to look at the brief descriptions of several eBooks I have written with a target market of classroom teachers and school administrators. Anyone involved as an educator, instructor, teacher or presenter could benefit from the eBooks I have made available to you.
Use the links provided with each short description to learn more about the eBook and to purchase it. The Internet and eBook technology are incredible!

The FIRST 102 Best Reflective Quickies™ for Classroom Teachers
Too busy as a classroom teacher to treat yourself to some much-needed Professional Development?

Not any more! With an investment of less than one minute per day you can give yourself the gift of "a change agent" based on taking time to simply reflect on past practices, current practices and future practices. Sometimes all you need is something to jog your brain into action.
This initial Volume 1 contains 102 of the very best "triggers" for your conscious and subconscious mind. Each of these short reflective quickies is designed to make you stop and think about whether or not changes need to be made in your classroom in order to create an "ideal" classroom.
Discover in minutes what it is you are doing well already, what you should continue to do with some modifications and what you should eliminate or change to make the teaching and learning process more effective in your classroom.
An example of a reflective quickie:
Are you wasting your time?
It may be time to do a time analysis. For the next week, keep track of the following information: What jobs could be eliminated? What can be delegated?
What tasks could be done less often? What are you doing that is a great idea but really isn’t worth the time and effort required to carry out this task?
Now, what can you do with the data you have collected? How many minutes per day or week can you use more productively by making some changes? Take back more control of your day by analyzing how you spend your time currently and what changes you can make. Make a plan. Plan the change. Do it!

New curriculum IN! Old curriculum must go OUT!
Become a “Goodwill” teacher. During spring house cleaning you gather up those items that you no longer need, don’t have to keep, or you’ve outgrown. You throw them out. In a similar fashion, you must also toss out old curriculum when the new is introduced. Often, you can not afford to keep even your very best lessons or that favourite unit of study. Adding new curriculum, while not removing something, is a disaster waiting to happen. Time for teaching hasn’t changed. You can not do more with the same time! Be ruthless. Do yourself a big favour.
